2026-27 draft kit
Every skater and goalie on a roster today, ranked for a season-long draft from the projected stat lines
Every skater and goalie on an NHL roster today, ranked for a season-long draft. Goals, assists and points are projected by the same model /2026-27/players publishes: the last three seasons, regressed toward position, age-adjusted, on an 84-game schedule. Power-play points, shots, hits and blocks are not projected — they are each player’s own 2025-26 per-game rate carried forward and scaled to his projected games. Tiers are gaps: within a position, the board is cut at its biggest value gaps, and a gap of more than half a standard deviation is a strong break.
Free, and the whole top of the board. Goals, assists and points are projected; the tier is this player’s position tier, and consistency is how steady his 2025-26 game-to-game scoring was.

Wins, save percentage, goals-against average and shutouts, all projected. Goalies are ranked in their own pool, so a goalie’s value here is not comparable to a skater’s.

Projected 2026-27 points minus what the player actually scored last season, among draftable skaters. A big gain is usually the model expecting a healthy season after a short one; a big drop is usually age, a role change, or last season having been the outlier.
That is the top 50 of 692 skaters and the top 10 of 91 goalies. The rest of the board is below. See the full projections.
Each line is games x ice time x scoring rate, projected separately over up to the last three completed seasons with empirical-Bayes shrinkage toward position and frozen age curves, on an 84-game schedule. Validated walk-forward across 10 past seasons: mean absolute error 9.237 points, against 10.311 for the best simple alternative.
PPP, SOG, HIT and BLK are not projections. The season model projects games, ice time, goals and assists; it does not project shots, hits, blocks or power-play points. Each of those four is the player's own 2025-26 per-game rate carried forward and multiplied by his projected 2026-27 games -- it holds his role fixed, which is an assumption, not a forecast. A player with no 2025-26 rate has no value in these categories and no category score at all; he shows a dash, never a zero.
Category values are z-scores standardised within the draftable pool -- the top 250 skaters by projected points and the top 40 goalies by projected wins. Players outside the pool are scored against the same mean and standard deviation, so they rank (negatively) without defining the scale. Skater and goalie values are computed in separate pools and are not comparable to each other.
Tiers are gaps, not grades. Within a position, walking the board best-first, a drop of more than 0.5 standard deviations between one player and the next starts a new tier (at most 6). A tier break says the players above it are separated from the players below it by more than the usual step; it does not say the two groups are different in kind. The board is rebuilt by hand when the projections change or rosters settle, not nightly — a 2026-27 draft board does not move between Tuesday and Wednesday, and a nightly timestamp on a file that did not change would only make it look fresher than it is. Players with no NHL history are absent. There is no row to project and no way to know who makes a roster.
Common Questions
By projected points value the board has Connor McDavid first (127 projected points), then Nathan MacKinnon (108) and Macklin Celebrini (99). In a 9-category league the same three lead because their shots and power-play points carry as well. The full positional tiers are in the PuckCast Edge board.
The projection ranks goalies by projected wins, save percentage, goals-against average and shutouts within their own pool: Karel Vejmelka (36 projected wins), Jeremy Swayman (34) and Andrei Vasilevskiy (31, .911) lead. A goalie's value is not comparable to a skater's.
No. Goals, assists, points and the goalie line are projected by the season model. Shots, hits, blocks and power-play points are each player's own 2025-26 per-game rate carried forward and scaled to his projected games, and every table labels them that way.
It is rebuilt by hand when the projections change or rosters settle, not nightly. The build date is printed above the board. Once the season starts the page returns to nightly DraftKings projections and the draft board stays at /fantasy/draft-kit.
