Projections are based on each player's per-game scoring rates, adjusted for tonight's matchup context (opponent strength, goalie quality, home/away) and DraftKings scoring rules (goals, assists, shots on goal, blocked shots, shorthanded points).
Core plays are projected to score well above the slate average and represent the safest high-floor options. Leverage plays offer upside at lower ownership, good for tournaments. Fades are players projected below expectations relative to their price or reputation.
Projections are regenerated daily as part of the scheduled data refresh, typically completing before the first puck drop. They incorporate the latest goalie confirmations and lineup information available at generation time.
These projections are optimized for single-day DFS slates. For season-long fantasy, the per-game rates and percentile rankings are still useful context, but the tier classifications are specific to today's slate and matchups.
