Most regulated sportsbooks offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. If betting has stopped being entertainment, use them.
What PuckCast is
PuckCast is an analytics service. We model NHL games and publish win probabilities, player projections, team ratings and fantasy tools. Some of that analysis is expressed against the betting market — where our number disagrees with a posted line, and by how much — because the market is a useful benchmark for a forecast.
That market-facing analysis is a part of the product, not the point of it. This is true on paid plans as well as free ones: subscribing buys you more analysis, not betting advice.
PuckCast is not a sportsbook, gambling operator or bookmaker. We do not accept, place or facilitate wagers, we never handle betting funds, and nothing we publish is a recommendation or instruction to place a bet. Model output is a probabilistic estimate, not a statement of fact about a future event. See our Terms for the full position.
Your responsibility
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to use PuckCast.
If you use PuckCast to assist with betting or any related activity, you must meet the legal age for that activity in your jurisdiction — which is commonly 21 and higher than the age required to read analytics. Sports betting is restricted or prohibited in many places. Confirming that it is legal where you are, and that you are old enough to do it there, is your responsibility and not something we can verify for you.
If you do bet
- Only stake money you can afford to lose entirely.
- A model edge is not a guarantee. Our published accuracy is a long-run average across thousands of games, and any individual pick can lose.
- Never bet to recover losses.
- Set limits before you start, not after a bad night.
- If it stops being fun, stop.
