Pick players for Side A and Side B. Each player's rest-of-season value is his 2026-27 per-game projection times his team's remaining games in the current regular season, then scored with the same points-league or 9-category formula the fantasy draft kit uses. The page totals each side and shows the difference in plain language.
Games left, not games already banked. Preseason, every team gets the full schedule. Once the season is underway, each team's remaining games come from the current NHL standings (games played, subtracted from the season length). The exact source and as-of date are printed on the page.
The points-league comparison is free for every skater and goalie the season projection covers. The 9-category comparison needs PuckCast Edge, because it standardizes each player against the same draftable pool the fantasy draft kit's paid board uses.
It carries the season projection's own uncertainty, not a new one. Where the source projection has an 80% range (skater points, goalie wins), the trade tool shows the rest-of-season range alongside the total. Summing two players' ranges widens the shown range beyond their true combined uncertainty, since the two are not perfectly correlated. This is a projection, not a guarantee of what either side will actually score.
